Origin:
Please refer to one of my previous post https://mobilewallpapercollection-uv15o6.blogspot.com/2022/05/blog-post.html to Know more about the origin and the peace side this post is specifically for the dark side.

The Dark Side:
Their is a lot messed up and freaky activities associated within the lifetime of a Samurai we will look upon couple of things over here.

1.Seppuku:
It is described as a ritualistic suicide method where a Samurai cuts his gut with a small sword. In historical texts there were two basic ways to carry out this, First was in which the warrior cuts his gut and wait for his death due to loss of blood in excruciating pain and the second in which a mercenary would decapsulate them immediately after the first cut.
Seppuku was also seen as a way to Showcase their political protest or the overwhelming grief over the death of a beloved leader.

2.Tsujigiri ( Road side killing)
It was said that the practice of Tsujigiri was a samurai's birth right. It was a practice carried out by the samurai's when they receive any new weapon. It also showcase the twisted mentality of the samurai's. The practice involves testing the blade on any human target. The Samurai would sneak and take anybody random down just for the sake of testing and practicing the new blade. It can be a peasant or merchant. This ritual was however abolished during the Tokugawa period as the situation was burring the state down.
