The Monk who lives in the fire.
Origin:
The word Samurai can be roughly translated into "born to Serve".
It start around the 8th century (794-1185) the samurai used to be the bodyguards of the wealthy landowners and most of them where out of those who where disowned by the Fujiwara Clan.
The Samurai became a powerful Arm force cast in Japan. The became the provincial warriors around the 12th century with the beginning of the country's first dictatorship "The Shougnate".
The samurais became like an authority backed by the lords and the dictators, which gave them enough power to dominate the Japanese government and society until the 'Meiji Restoration' in 1868 which consequently led to the abolition of the feudal system.
The Peaceful Side:
Japan was in a state of chaos for around two consecutive centuries, defeating two Mongol attacks around the 13th century and afterwards the rebellions' led by Ashskaga Takujie.
This state of violence finally settled with the unification of Japan under the Tokugawa Leyasu, which continued around 250 years. This period brought peace and prosperity in Japan and Samurai went 'Civil'. From here on the Samurais where not just trained with arms only, Peace and Politeness introduced a whole new persona to the word Samurai we hear now a days.
The History of Samurai is so messed up that it can't be explained with just word, there is Hate, Ruthlessness, Killing Instinct but there is Politeness too, peacefulness too.
We will definitely look upon the freaky parts over other posts.
